However, there are many factors that affect the life of LED lamps in actual use, mainly the following four:
(1) Die quality is the first condition to determine LED life
In the manufacturing process of LED, other impurity ions, lattice defects and other processes will affect its life. Therefore, the use of high-quality LED dies is the first condition.
(2) Whether the post-process packaging is reasonable will affect the life of the LED
Whether the LED post-processing package is reasonable will affect the life of the LED. The LED post-process packaging of some companies is unqualified, and it looks OK from the appearance, but its process structure and process quality are poor, which seriously affects the life of the LED.
(3) Luminaire design is a key issue affecting the life of LED lamps
A reasonable luminaire design, in addition to meeting other indicators of the luminaire, a key issue is to dissipate the heat generated when the LED is lit. The same LED wick is used in different luminaires, and the LED life can be several times or even dozens of times. For example, the integrated light source lamps (single 30 W, 50 W, 100 W) that are currently on the market. The contact between the light source and the heat dissipation channel of these products is not good. As a result, some products cause light after 1-3 months of lighting. The attenuation is more than 50%. In some products, after using a small power tube of about 0.07 W, the light decay is very fast because there is no reasonable heat dissipation mechanism. These products have low technical content, low cost and short life.
(4) Lighting power is critical to LED life
Whether the power supply of the lamp is reasonable will also affect its life. Because LED is a current-driven device, if the power supply current fluctuates greatly, or the frequency of power spikes appears high, it will affect the life of the LED light source. The life of the power supply itself mainly depends on whether the power supply design is reasonable. Under the premise of reasonable power supply design, the life of the power supply depends on the life of the components.
